Am I ever glad that the rain here has ended. It rained here Friday through Sunday.
We had one of those "conveyer belt" systems that we get here sometimes, where the low pressure front is right over Chicago, but aligned west to east, and the front moves through Chicago, sideways...west to east.
That happened on Saturday, and we got 7 inches of rain that day alone.
All told, we got 10 inches of rain here in the city, on the north side, where I live. But there's no flooding where I am, so I'm grateful for that.
My skylights in the living room got so much rain that they started leaking AROUND the windows. That is, they found a path through the roof and then the drywall, etc.
Drip, drip, drip.
Gotta get the roof resealed, and some drywall replaced & repainted.
Anywho, I was able to get a crapload of work done this weekend, 'cuz there wasn't much else to do.
I finished 2nd-round revisions on my Mortgage Marketing book, that'll be out in November/ December, so that's done.
Now the bugs in the thingy that lets me embed videos on my blog have been fixed, so today, I want to show you where Oprah used to live...
It's also the building where Sammy Sosa used to live. And, I show you, on this video, a 15-story ferris wheel at Navy Pier, the Chicago River, & Lake Shore Drive.
